free dialup service?
« on: March 01, 2011, 07:54:12 pm »
I might not be with this computer for much longer so I need to get someone's advice on where i can get free dialup service. I am NOT able to sign up for say.. netzero's plan because it requires so much info, just somewhere where I can just simply sign up and get online without much contact info required. Thank's.

Sometimes you can sneak away with a neighbor's wifi.  ;) You'd be amazed at how many people don't place keys.

List of stuff I need to do before September:
1. Finish the Emulator of the Casio Prizm (in active development)
2. Finish the the SH3 asm IDE/assembler/linker program (in active development)
3. Create a partial Java virtual machine  for the Prizm (not started)
4. Create Axe for the Prizm with an Axe legacy mode (in planning phase)
5. Develop a large set of C and asm libraries for the Prizm (some progress)
6. Create an emulator of the 83+ for the Prizm (not started)
7. Create a well polished game that showcases the ability of the Casio Prizm (not started)

again I *cannot* use wifi. there is NO wifi card on the computer and I *cannot* buy a wireless dongle due to an even budget. I am talking about dialup, not neightbors wifi.

Actually I believe dial-up is now canceled in many areas. My grandparents used to use dial-up until their ISP canceled the service. So they then had to upgrade to broadband. Also why don't you want to give out your info. ???

Don't you have any Internet connection at home already? Did your parents cut your internet or something?

That said, I can't help. I remember back in the days at Future Shop stores they had free AOL CDs that let you connect to dial-up, but you had to use their own browsers. Over here they still offer dial-up, but it costs $10 a month and I wouldn't be surprised if it was eventually cancelled.
