In the past week, strange things have occured on Omnimaga forums. First of all, some of our older members have started to act differently, many others suddenly had urges to necropost (reply to very old topics) and learning how to count. In addition to that, some of our members started to develop a new love for Internet Explorer 6 and the TI-81.

Initially, we thought that it was because of Halloween coming soon, but then we thought it was still a bit too early in October. The possibility that people acquired new Casio Prizms and that the calculator smell (which is often referred to as "133") affected them was excluded, as both DJ and Juju met in person again in Early September with their two Casio calculators together and nothing bad happened.

Later, it was discovered that a group of Omnimaga users, mainly formed of newer members, but also Netham45 and Juju, actually did a ritual for DJ Omnimaga's upcoming 30000th post milestone, to ensure that it happens faster (or slower?).

In addition to that, tonight some members started to report that the "spam" section of the website vanished completely, while others still seemed to view it fine. It started happening shortly before DJ reaches 30000 posts, so we do not know if this is a coincidence or if it is part of the ritual.

The ritual started approximately when DJ reached 29900, then the upsurge in forum activity that ensued afterward (two 500+ post days in a row for the first time since April) caused several slow downs in page loading, although there are reports that Netham45 recently developed a new hobby involving DDoS'ing his very own server. (coincidence?)

The 30000th post milestone (note that this only includes this SMF board and excludes the spam, humor and intro sections) seems to have caused negative side effects on DJ himself too. As he reached it, he said he started to want more from his accomplishment and feel supreme, then he has considered suing Cemetech so that individual members' post counts there only includes stats from 2008 onwards, to be in sync with Omnimaga current board stats and allowing DJ_O to beat KermMartian's post count in the process (which is over 47000 since 2005).

Right now, some moderators that are not involved are investigating and are trying to make sure that things remains in order. Hopefully the recent love for forum thread necromancy that people had doesn't become as bad as it did on United-TI several years ago, once, and stop soon.
