I have no idea whether this category is the right one or not to post this topic in. If this is misplaced I blame it on myself.  ::)

So I found this site through trodgor.57o9.org, an IRC server which is pretty much dead right now. Calculators have always interested me, or at least that's been one of my biggest interests since I saw this site five minutes ago.

I've been programming some, I'm decent in PHP and fluent in Swedish. My real name is Martin and my age is for obvious reasons constantly changing.

I've never heard of that network... You're pretty much the only one that I know of who discovered this site via IRC.

The calculator which I'm a proud owner of is a Casio fx-82ES, I guess it's a very common one since I bought it just to be able to survive math class in school. Is there anyone who could recommend me a nice little game for that type?

Casio calculators (except for the newly released Prizm) aren't very popular here, so I'm not sure if there's anyone who knows...

EDIT:  Graphing calcs, preferably TI, since it has a large userbase.

The TI-83+/TI-84+ is very common around here, and there are lots of programs for it. Some people also use the Nspire, usually because their school forces them to, but it sucks.

I have no idea. How would I find that out? Until now I've only used my calculator for calculating calculations, but I'm looking forward to expand my knowledge in this subject.

I'd recommend a TI-84+ Silver Edition, or the TI-84+ in case you don't need the extra 1 MB of memory on the SE or if you can't find the SE for purchase. The plain 84+ is much more common.

Yep, it's vital. I don't think it'll be able to run anything that's more advanced than a quadratic solver...

Well, It's not vital per se, and it doesn't preclude programmability, and not all graphing calculators are programmable, and English teachers everywhere are crying at this mockery of a sentence, but that limits what you can do with it, and you'll probably need a proper graphing calculator later, at which point I recommend a 84+SE if you're going with the TI83 series of calcs, and I can't say anything else because I don't know about other calc lines.
