Congrats! Unfortunately I cannot help, though, as I never programmed on it. Also I can't successfully run any ASM program on ticalc.org so I can't help on that either. Also make sure to use TI-BASIC, because very few people own a TI-92 anymore, so barely anyone will be able to try your ASM programs.

I have a little question: Is it a TI-92, Ti-92 with Plus module, or a Ti-92 Plus?
If its just the Ti-92, then you are actually in bad luck, because most of the 68k programs don't run on it. It also doesn't have flash rom.
Anyway, if you have any question about basic programming, I'll be glad to help you :)

Have fun with it!

If it is just a ti 92, you might be able to buy a plus-module.

Well, the BASIC programming on it is still the same regardless isn't it?

I think it's slighty limited.

The language syntax is the same, but there are quite some differences, some of which are real annoying.

Ah, I see. I figured it would be similar in comparison to Ti 82 BASIC compared to TI 83+ BASIC. Essentially the 82 is missing some variables and commands, but otherwise they are the same, and code for one can run on the other.

Is the 92 BASIC similar to 92+ BASIC, though? I can't imagine how it would be incredibly different, when on the 83 the language is almost the same as on the 83+.

I know there was very little RAM, though.

Its the same syntax, there are just some things that don't work on the Ti-92.
For example, if I remember correctly, "a+3->a" returns "Error: Circular expression".

To run most basic 89/92+ programs you will have to patch them.

Ah ok, but anything on the 92 will be backwards compatible with the 92+, right? I think that is the most important thing here.

Yes, basic programs should work with no problem on the Plus version.

Ok good to hear. It would kinda suck if TI released a new calc with a similar model name and it did not ran anything from the previous one.

By the way you can upgrade your 92 with a Plus module, but they're very hard to find.

This was what I was wondering. That's basically how it is between the TI 82 and the TI-83 + as well. =)
